Thom Yorke and Bon Iver for New Moon Soundtrack?

A few weeks ago Paramore distanced themselves from the forthcoming Twilight sequel, saying they won’t be on the soundtrack this time as they didn’t want to be seen as the vampire house band. Well, no one’s worried about them anymore as director Chris Weitz has revealed that Thom Yorke has written a track for it… only thing is, he’s not heard it yet. But he’s fairly confident it’ll be up to scratch, telling HitFix as Comic-Con "Unless it's sounds of him belching, I think I'll put it in." Yorke has form on soundtracks before, with arguably one of the most affecting Radiohead songs closing a remake of Romeo and Juliet, and surely any new output from him is good news. The interview also reveals that Bon Iver has offered a track, although Weitz sounds somewhat skeptical of the origins: “He says he wrote it for the film, but who ever knows if it might just be something laying around in his cupboard.” We never really imagined Bon Iver to know what Twilight was either. Meanwhile, feelers have gone out to Kings of Leon. This might turn into a soundtrack CD to own…
