U2 Promise "Cut Price" Ticket Tour

Over the past few months someone, somewhere, has declared U2 the most popular band in the world, but people are definitely ready to turn on the ageing pop stars with more than a whiff of sanctimo, what, hang on, the new single is actually good? Yes, U2 are back with both an album and blanket media coverage. But soon you’ll be able to see them on tour even if you’re on the dole, as they’ve promised to play a series of gigs with cut price tickets.

Bono revealed this to BBC Radio 1, saying: "We're trying to work on some cheaper ticket prices because this is the recession. We're also going to have some very expensive ticket prices, because rich people have feelings too." That last point will keep any passing RBS chairmen happy. Some of these will also be outdoor events.
