Making its debut this year in the beautiful town of Benicassim in Spain, Costa de Fuego gave Metal, Heavy Rock and Hardcore fans a festival to be proud of.

With an impressive line up including some of the most notable and famous spanish metal bands as well known headliners such as Guns N Roses, Marilyn Manson and Opeth there was a great selection of national and international acts including up and coming bands.

Around 10,000 fans came to watch a vast landscape of heavier genres from Thrash Metal through to bands such as Lacuna Coil who combine soft female vocals with heavy instrumentation. As well as an impressively varied lineup for the 2 day festival the ticket also included 4 days of camping for free, meaning people could combine the days of music with a long weekend in the sun - ultimate bliss!

Four stages on both the Friday and Saturday meant that there were a selection of bands to choose from at anyone time, ranging from bands playing on the Red Bull Tourbus - a really cool quirky stage set on the top of a bus! To bands playing on the Jack Daniels, Black Bikini and Costa de Fuego stages. With the festival kicking off around 6pm the bands played through the night, making an excellent setting for Costa de Fuego with even more atmosphere under the cover of darkness.

A variety of stalls selling band memorabilia and Tshirts as well eclectic jewelery and alternative clothing made for an interesting and enjoyable browsing session. Topped off with some amazing food stalls selling a good selection of grub which could satisfy many taste buds - we had seriously difficulty deciding where and what to eat!

Costa de Fuego was a well organised and fun festival which certainly lived up to Maraworlds great reputation. For anyone looking for a neiche music festival for metal, rock and hardcore fans this was definitely the place to be! And in the location of sunny Spain you couldnt ask for more!
