The best track on Lianne La Havas' Mercury nominated album gets its own release, and rightly so. Putting the 'fun' back into 'fundimentally I want you to fuck off forever' Forget finds Lianne's scornful lyrics and jittery riffs reminiscent of a younger, more guitar-y Kelis. Recent years have seen an endless slew of female singer-songwriters lurking round the lower reaches of the charts like so many urchins clustered round a generous, capricous uncle. La Havas neatly side steps this scrum by the simple tactic of- wait for it- having a personality. Brit school wannabees and X Factor mugs take note.
